Social Distancing Made Easy
Built for speed and efficiency with an output capacity of up to 2,000 badges/hour, BUT FOR NOW, we are slowing it down to allow for social distancing.
While our registration kiosks have always saved time, staff hours and even space, the AET badging system has the added benefit of registering attendees from a distance.
Our kiosks allow registrants to access their badges without having to come into contact with one another. In keeping with social distancing guidelines, we can easily designate areas to stand, while calling for their credentials and allow for singular pick up to minimize contact.
The AET system is easy to use at a distance! Using cell phones, attendees call a number posted on the kiosk and their badge prints in seconds. Nearby lanyards are available for the recipient, – no need to touch anything but the keypad on their own phones. Links to conference materials and information can be messaged to attendees once their badge is printed or after scanning into a workshop.
Onsite Registration With Limited Direct Contact
Rather than a walk up registration desk requiring personnel and attendees to exchange paperwork and payment forms, AET’s simple registration process can be accessed through a scanned QR code on their mobile device that will link them to an abbreviated registration process including payment.
AET’s process includes online payments directly from attendee mobile devices to your bank account. Once the simple process is complete, the participant follows the same quick and easy steps as those who registered in advance – simply call the posted phone number on the nearby kiosk to pick up their badge and lanyard. They will be enjoying your conference in no time!
Free Up Staff to Interact Safely with Attendees
Your staff can be available for greetings, answering questions and offer directions at an appropriate distance. AET staff is on site for set up to troubleshoot when needed.
AET kiosks are compact, leaving room for people to spread out and saving you the cost of multiple registration areas.
AET offers offer a variety of identifiers from the traditional badges to wristbands to QR codes on badges that allow for touchless scanning into classrooms and special events. Meal tickets, entry to private events, attendance tracking, and other components can be added to the badge, again limiting the need to handle the exchange of more paper between your staff and attendees.
Though social distancing may be a new standard, AET is not new to contactless registrations. Minimize risk with touchless badging using state of the art technology so you can focus on the job at hand.
OUR SYSTEMS MAKE EVENT ADMISSIONS EFFICIENT & FAST
Some customers have a list of their attendees and need AET to import the list to the badge printing stations.
Links to surveys can be included at session check in via text messaging, AET compiles responses and provides data.
Text in for session attendance, text out to assure attendees stick around, scanning at door, CEU tracking, and more.
Post Check-in messages include: Personalized and updated schedules, information on speakers/sessions, text alerts, and more.
Choose your size and design your layout. Graphics are preprinted off site and the variable information is printed onsite.
A valuable tool for exhibitors who wish to follow up, post-event. Offered at zero additional cost to clients.
CLIENTS SHARE THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH AET
The highlight of the AET platform is the on-site registration. Our attendees walk up to the kiosk, call the number on the screen with their cell phone and their badges immediately print out. This alleviates the need for SWTA staff to print and stuff name badges ahead of time, saving precious hours of prep time before the event.
Event Coordinator, South West Transit Association
Four years ago we had the opportunity to transition our registration system from preprinted badges and long lines to check in to an updated system with Active Event Technology. It was one of the best moves we have made. It has saved my staff time and frustration from an antiquated system of preprinting everything and shipping it all to the event.

AT&T Park had a private event that had over 20,000 attendees. They wanted to use electronic tickets sent to the mobile phones of the attendees to eliminate paper waste and prevent the copying of paper tickets. Active Event Technology sent out over 20,000 electronic tickets and provided equipment to scan the cell phone tickets of the attendees. Event managers Rory, Brad and Cindy gave a perfect “A” to our staff.
